GOLD & SILVER TROPHY SPURS. 1959 All Around Cowboy Champion Trophy Spurs - Custom-Made by Les Garcia of Las Vegas, Nevada - 1959 - Awarded to Jim Shoulders of Henrietta, Oklahoma. At the National High School Rodeo Finals held at Wetumka, OK in 1965, Jim Shoulders furnished the stock and was one of the pickup men. He was using one of the many trophy saddles he had won and he wore these same trophy spurs. Both trophies had been used hard--and were sweat-soaked & banged-up. The Oklahoma superstar cowboy obviously believed such items were meant to be used--not pampered & displayed in a trophy room.
