Gonna be in the Rodeo Parade.....

REMEMBER THE EXCITEMENT OF A RODEO PARADE? Local cowboys & cowgirls (like Nola Higden in the picture) would load their horses up and transport them to a central parade rendezvous point and ride in the downtown rodeo parade. In most cases, the sidewalks on Main Street were lined with parked vehicles and spectators. It was a much anticipated event--just like the annual rodeo--in this case the Will Rogers Stampede RCA Rodeo in Claremore, Oklahoma which was held in June, 1951.
